Putting Zululand on global map

Putting Zululand on global map

A PRIME region for overseas investment.
That was the opinion of a Norwegian delegation who visited Zululand’s uThungulu District last week.
Spearheading the visit, businessman and philanthropist Per Steinar Melas said the area has ‘everything’ an investor may require, including ‘people who want to work’.

Already a fan of everything Zululand, Melas confirmed it was the second delegation he has brought to the region.

‘I saw an interview with uThungulu District Mayor Stan Larkan in one of our newspapers while he was in Norway and arranged a meeting with him shortly after that.

‘On my first visit, I was impressed with all the region has to offer. It presents huge opportunities for potential investors,’ said Melas.
He has also funded the new Nyezane Crèche in uMlalazi which is due to open this week.

It will cater for 80 children and will include not only educational facilities, but also a feeding programme.

A qualified psychologist and owner of a number of businesses, Melas said his philosophy focused on creating relationships between different cultures and countries.

‘It is the best way to create peace and tolerance and I will continue to promote Zululand as a wonderful tourist destination, as well as seeing what we can do for your communities,’ he said.
